Statement of Purpose: Clinicians and health care advocates need to join together to achieve mental health parity and comprehensive mental health benefits for all. As our failing, privatized health care system is reformed, we must make sure that the full range of mental illnesses are covered, from problems of living to serious mental disorders and chemical dependency. All effective treatments and prevention approaches must be covered, including psycho-educational treatment, school-based programs, and psychotherapy.
